I'm back from Paris and in NY (with a brief stop in the Dominican Republic mixed in there too)

Here's a shot from Paris! It was up on elle.com for the Lutz show. Paris went well. I was super homesick and once I started to settle and enjoy it I flew home.. Ah well... but at least I'll know the ropes when I go back.. and the'd like that to be june for Haute Couture!

So it's FASHION WEEK.. which means I've been going to a billion castings a day. Unfortunately I've had the flu on top of the running around, so I haven't been a very happy camper. :(

The first show I'm walking in today is uptown. Seems you find out the DAY before if you're doing a show, so I don't know what the rest of fashion week holds so far...

but after I'm going to Paris for their fashion week! And staying for 2 or 3 months to work! I hope I'll update this thing more from there to keep in touch with people at home. I'm nervous to go - I don't know the language or anyone there - but it should be an amazing experience.. (Ps to that - I got an agency in Paris and Milan earlier in the month. Went around and saw them in each city..)

Happy Thanksgiving from NY :)

Just got back from Florida! My mom was down there with my step-dad. I'm not going to see her for thankgiving, and I've never been to Disney before, so I booked same day and met them.

It was really nice to get away from the city and get a bit warmer!

Anyway, back now. All I've done so far is go to the Waverly for a yummy dinner. Today I have one casting. Exciting huh? It's going to be a slow week with the holiday I guess..

In slightly more fashion related news - I found a Barneys Outlet store in Florida and got a Marc Jacobs dress for a ridiculous price. I'm awesome :)

Project Runway

Everyone should watch Marcia and Cheron (and amanda, sam and christina) on Project Runway. All girls from my old agency. :)

So it's been forever since I posted. I just don't think this is viewed much.

The last 2 months have been pretty big for me.

I started going to agencies again 2 months ago and was offered the opportunity to join Red if I worked out and dieted (after spraining my ankle and not being able to work out for a month that was understandable..)

So I dieted, exercised and came back in 2 weeks and they said they could see a lot of improvement and offered me a contract. Since then I've kept up with the diet, lost 6 lbs and gained a ton in muscle and I got feedback from them 2 days ago saying I look fantastic. After the drama I had when I was 13 with elite constantly telling me to lose weight, their encouragment was such a relief.

Now I have tons of castings and they've gotten me 2 jobs so far. :)

Besides that... I visited my grandparents out in the middle of nowhere last month.. I've been going to a few events a night.. Had a great Halloween as Jessica Rabbit -

And I moved in with my friend to the West Village last week.

Maybe I'll try to update with some of the events I go to and rndom fashion things I see. :)

Aaaah! I hope the movie turns out well! And I'm loving the spoilers!

Fashion Week - Monday

The day started off pretty slow. I saw "Nanette Lepore" and then went to lunch at soho. I came back up with a friend and sat for a couple hours in a 'prime real estate spot' for people watching and sipped on cocktails - then ducked into the "Joanna Mastroianni" show - which had pretty dresses but they seemed a bit old?

Another day walking around. I skipped the shows - but my flip flops are kind of cute. ;)

Fashion Week!! Thursday and Friday

Yeah yeah. I never post.

But I have been playing around at my first fashion week. I unfortunately sprained my ankle and had it in a cast for all the castings for fashion week, but I'm still going in and networking where I can - and enjoying the sites.

So far I've seen the Lisa Thon, Akiko Ogawa, Mendel and Buckler shows. I'm not really sure which I want to go to tomorrow but sunday looks good with Michael Kors and Diane von Furstenberg.

Wow.. talk about not posting for way too long...

First I went to Denver for 5 days for my mom's birthday..

Then a few days later I went away to France for 2 weeks (with a small jump over to london) for a wedding, but also got to see some amazing places like monte carlo, san tropez, cap ferrat and paris. I went by agents in London and Paris as well. I'll have to put a few pictures up on here, but for now I want to post the photo shoot I had in a rush right before I left so I would have enough pictures for going to agencies.

I met this amazing photographer online and we've become friends. I told him my problem and he was amazing enough to take some time to do the shoot for me.. So lucky.

A lot has happened in the last week..

I am no longer with the Meatpacking District Initiative. I'm currently in the market for a job.. but I don't know where to look.. Should I get some silly waitress job so I can model? Should I get a 'real' job and start working towards grad school now? Unfortunately not many jobs will accomdate the schedule I need to succeed with modeling.

I did get one of those castings though. It was stock photography but the pictures are wonderful. And making what I would in a week in 3 hours sitting on a couch isn't all that bad either.

I moved. That means I've now lived in the West Village, by union square, by columbus circle and in the east village all in just 4 months. Impressive, no? I'm sick of moving.. But my new housemate is a wonderful french woman who works for the UN. I think she's a keeper.

I got the unedited pictures back from a week ago. I think they came out really well. I can't imagine what they'll look like edited..

That's it. My new apartment doens't have internet so it's hard to update..

Design week seemed to be a success! We had tons of people at the events I went to. I'm sure I'll here more from my boss soon about it, but it seemed pretty good to me!

Other than that I am ..

-Moving to the LES tomorrow..

-I worked with a great photographer Friday and my agent claims that will amount to me finally having a book and comp card now

-I have 3 castings tomorrow

-I'm going to get to see the Hamptoms for the first time this Friday :)

Life's been a bit odd lately, after that apartment drama. I'm still figuring out where I want to live - and how I'll manage it. I haven't really gone out lately either.

I do have more shoots coming up though - or I will have 2 more after I meet a photographer (really great one.. he worked with Gisele) tomorrow and a professor over at F.I.T. Thursday.

Just have to figure all that where-t0-live stuff first before I get back into the groove.

I just got back from the D&G sample sale.. there really weren't any deals though...

Craigslist warning!!!

I doubt many people read this but I'm posting it out to all ways I can.

I moved in with a real creep on saturday on 15th by 5th. I found out he lied about his name, age, and the fact he had a relationship. He started trying to hug me and kiss me, and would joke about spanking me.

The apartment looks like this:

He is around 5'10", white, black rim glasses, about 50 years old, and slightly overweight.

Please be careful everyone!

I'm sad to say I no longer live in the West Village/Meatpacking area :( Now I'm more by union square. The place is gorgeous, but so built up comparatively!

I got back two sample shots (already!) from Saturday. They aren't edited yet or anything, but it was really nice of him to send me a few pics to ease my curiosity.

I am so exhausted! (this isn't really coherent. I'm buzzed and tired..)I had a really long shoot today.. We balanced on rooftops 6 stories up, balanced on pigeon coups, posed with the pigeons.. It was a really awesome shoot - great make-up, great photographer, great styling, great location. I can't wait to get it back. AND the photographer asked me back tomorrow for another shoot! I'm so happy to be getting diversity in my book. And I have a second shoot tomorrow at 2. Just crazy!
